I am currently a junior at the University of Kansas studying film and media.After COVID-19 hit, I returned to KC to continue my education at Johnson County Community College while working as a team leader at Hen House Markets.From 2019-2020, I was a gap year fellow at Year On Gap Year Programs. I volunteered abroad in Peru for two and a half months working at a dog shelter and acting as a fundraising assistant to the volunteer agency we were partnered with. I then traveled to San Francisco, California, producing a portfolio of work as well as building professional skills. Prior to my gap year, I spent one year at the University of Kansas studying journalism. I also worked as a manager for more than two and a half years at an independently-owned movie theatre.
