About Caroline Nye Stevens
I’m the Director of Doors Open RI, which I started with the belief that it's by welcoming the public into a range of sites at the heart of our neighborhoods, meeting their stewards and learning their stories, that we become connected to people and place and gain new perspectives on where we live. Over the past decade, my work has evolved from leading architectural tours and writing a Chicago-based building blog, to creating innovative place-based public programs in cities across the US. Prior to moving to Providence, I helped launch and later managed the Chicago Architecture Center's “Open House Chicago,” now the largest architecture and urban exploration festival in the country.carolinenye.com
