About Caroline Papreck
In my 15+ years experience in the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis including 8 years of supervisory experience along with my background in Behavioral Psychology and Special Education, I’ve acquired an extensive repertoire of skills that I have applied to training, mentoring, and supervising direct service providers, assistant supervisors, aspiring BCBAs, and new BCBA supervisors. I have been very committed to advancing the practice of the latest methods in evidence-based practices, bringing forth new methodologies into practice with my supervisees and clients. To say I’m enthusiastic about applying, teaching, and learning all things behavior would be an understatement: I have a B.F. Skinner magnet on my refrigerator and don’t even get me started about my bookshelf. My ultimate goal is to harness the impact of behaviorism to positively affect the lives of my clients, their parents, as well as the staff providing the ABA care.
Listed skills include Applied Behavior Analysis, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Pivotal Response Training, Discrete Trial Training, and 36 others.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Supervising Clinician
Bcba, Aba Supervisor
Throughout my tenure at Cortica, I have strived to provide the best training and support to newer supervision staff, both those still working toward earning their BCBA credentials and new BCBA hires with little supervisory experience. Since joining the team, I have created a high-quality supervision experience for supervisees collecting fieldwork hours. I hold biweekly meetings to develop clinical and professional skills through didactic instruction, Behavioral Skills Training, and written assignments. I also act as the Coordinator for Supervisees across 3 different sites.I brought both Acceptance and Commitment Training as well as Practical and Functional Assessments into practice at Cortica, practices I have worked extensively on, encountering numerous cases where these would be applicable, and organizing training with other BCBAs at Cortica who are now implementing these. When my coworkers have a question about behaviorism, I’m the person they come to. When someone asks me about something I’m not familiar with or unsure about, I’ll often go on a deep dive to find literature to answer the question. As I’m searching, I’ll often find a new publication with cutting-edge methods in behaviorism. Through this, I have started a journal-sharing ‘club’, with printed (with permission) publications that our supervisors and asst. supervisors enjoy reading, and we often start discussions about these on the Teams chat. I’m also an active participant in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion events - I really want to make sure that those working under me feel supported and heard. As an ABA supervisor, I lead a pod of 2 assistant supervisors, their direct reports, and my own direct reports, overseeing a group of clients from ages 3 to 22. I am excellent at writing behavior plans and my reports are occasionally used as the ‘How To’ example. I am fluent in adapting reports to payor-specific requirements and have a penchant for maximizing the utilization of authorized hours.
Senior Registered Behavior Technician
While working at Xcite Steps, I was recognized for my use of insightful and creative problem-solving to keep children of varying behavioral diagnoses engaged to meet their goals as well as for my excellent understanding and skill in ABA. Because of this, I provided hands-on training to new staff, preparing new behavior technicians best practices in ABA. In addition to working with children with autism spectrum disorders I also worked with their parents in Parent Training, and I was recognized by the staff for having great rapport with parents and clients while maintaining both professional and ethical boundaries as well as providing culturally responsive care. On the weekends, I often participated in the Saturday Social Group, which provided an opportunity for the clients and their siblings to participate in different outings throughout the San Diego region, a great opportunity for socialization in different environments.
Aba Supervisor
At AIM, I assisted a BCBA Case Manager in managing around up to 24 clients, designing and implementing individualized ABA programs while supporting behavior interventionists in meeting each child’s goals. I was valued by the other supervisors for assistance with client intakes, using both direct and indirect behavior assessments, and I actively interviewed, hired, and effectively trained new behavioral interventionists in implementing treatment plans, collecting data, and providing high-quality care. I developed a behavior-based employee performance management program to quantitatively assess interventionists’ ongoing performance and development. To help the interventionists further develop clinical skills, I organized and implemented quarterly staff training. In this role, I performed a lot of parent consultations and learned how to compassionately address the goals and progress to ensure treatment plans were socially valid for both child and parent.
