I served as the deputy editor in chief of MediaFile, a nonprofit student-run media outlet covering the media itself. Our publication aims to examine the way that journalism operates in relation to current events and provide coverage of industry trends and updates.

I worked with the MediaFile founding team to develop copy editing protocol, copy edit all articles, recruit new writers, and author occasional articles.

As a council member, I served as a youth educator, advocate, and spokesperson on issues of adolescent sexual and reproductive health. Responsibilities included educating U.S. policy makers on the importance of increasing funding for international family planning, and educating U.S. and international media on the issues of global HIV and AIDS and international family planning. I also assist Advocates for Youth in creating branded graphic design that is used across DC college campuses.

At Control Point Group I focused on developing messaging and writing email copy for candidates and elected Congresspeople. I also assisted in graphic and web design and managed CRM portals such as ActBlue.

As a student assistant I was responsible for helping library patrons use the library's services, including troubleshooting technological problems and assisting with research questions. As a student graphic designer I designed all in-house materials displayed in the library. In addition, I created and maintained historical exhibits occupying the library's first floor.

As a fellow at Brass Tactics I was a part of four community organizing projects; my responsibilities included participating in the formulation and execution of several political events each month, regularly using VAN software, making calls to engage community members, and writing and sending mass-targeted emails. I was also responsible for working with non-local teams on projects in states beyond the East Coast, including traveling to collaborate with community organizers in Philadelphia, PA, and Conowingo, MD. Additionally, I frequently collaborated with coworkers to complete research tasks.
