Burlington, Vermont Area

I produce the hour-long 10pm and half-hour 11pm newscasts at Local 22 & Local 44 (WVNY and WFFF) covering the Burlington, Vt. and Plattsburgh, N.Y. areas. I have also previously produced the 6 and 7pm newscasts.During my time here, I've been able to work on special projects, including a two-part special highlighting local history as it related to Black History Month in our area, as well as producing our Fireworks Spectacular, which airs before the July 3rd fireworks celebration on the Burlington waterfront. I also spear-headed the production of a half-hour special on American Red Cross relief efforts during a devastating hurricane season.

I am responsible for producing SA Today, a 15 minute newscast that focuses on Student Association at Syracuse University. Part of my responsibilities include coordinating with members of SA to be either live in-studio for interviews, or pre-tape those interviews.

CitrusTV produces a half-hour political talk show once a week to air on the Orange Television Network at Syracuse University. As a correspondent, I am responsible for researching and presenting a topic for air. The segment is either scripted and done at a plasma, or a Q&A with the host at the desk.One of the areas I focus on is local politics. Below are various segments for the broadcast including one on NY State Assemblyman John Katko, and the snowfall in Boston and how it is affecting their budget.When not on-air, I fill in as a crew member, specifically graphics using Lyric.

Syracuse University

I currently work as a Co-Host for Syracuse University's only morning talk show, Juice and Java.We hold weekly meetings to brainstorm ideas. I am also responsible for putting together reporter packages for our shows, which are filmed every other Sunday.We cover things going on around the SU campus, as well as the local Syracuse community.

As a reporter, I am responsible for helping to generate story ideas in a weekly meeting. I typically produce a reporter package/or conduct interviews for use on-air once a week. Other responsibilities include interviewing students for reactions to various topics, interviewing faculty, and conducting live shots.As a producer, I write copy for the anchors once a week in the morning. I am responsible for keeping in the timeframe that my executive producer has allotted for each story.

Syracuse University

I am responsible for producing a News Live at 6 show for CitrusTV, Syracuse University's student-run station. Once a week, I put together a 29 minute newscast. Responsibilities include selecting and writing stories, inserting graphics, making sure all director commands are in the script and ensuring a smooth live delivery of the show.

Creating a powerpoint of slides that include:- current temperatures- tonight's and tomorrow's forecast- maps: current temperatures, dew points and radar across the northeastAd-libbing live on air using powerpoint as a reference. Answering questions from anchors.

I was responsible for the weekly production of a 2 minute news brief. Duties included: - Researching and writing copy for air in ENPS- Composing graphics within ENPS- Timing the show and making any necessary changes during the show to ensure we got on and off the air on-time

Juice And Java-Syracuse University'S Only Morning News Show

In the fall of 2014, I was responsible for the weekly production of Syracuse University's only morning talk show. We had not previously filmed every week, but I felt that we had enough members to report for and crew the show.

As Social Media Manager, I am responsible for updating our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube accounts. I work the the producer and reporters to upload content from shows and reporter packages. I communicate with guests to make sure their social media is linked in our posts. I will also upload links to other news sites for stories that we cannot cover.
