I lead Refolda, a consulting firm that helps organizations implement gender mainstreaming practices and improve systems and processes for the inclusion of women, men, and underrepresented groups. We support clients with gender assessments, strategy, policy and program development, monitoring, evaluation, and capacity-building. I started my career at the Swedish Defense Department and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, overseeing the EU crisis management missions, the UN peacebuilding missions, and the implementation of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda. In 2017, I moved to Los Angeles, where I led the work of the Los Angeles City Commission on the Status of Women in the areas of workforce development, public transportation, homelessness, domestic violence, and human trafficking in partnership with the Mayor's Office, service providers, and City Departments. I love leading Refolda and drawing on my international and U.S. experiences to help organizations create inclusive processes and increase their impact.
