• Designed an HEK293 transfection media that outperformed Cytiva’s current off-the-shelf TransFx-H transfection media in cell culture biomass by 2x, and productivity by 1.5x.
• Designed a CHO cloning media for Cytiva’s cell line development service team that replaced the use of competitor’s product, improved the single cell cloning success rate from 45% to 81%, and reduced the cloning process.
• Developed HEK293 subcloning capacity from the ground up within 4 months, demonstrated by productivity of selected clones at 2.5x of host cell line. This will be a new customer service offering.
• Customized cell culture media for a mid-sized customer that resulted in improved viral vector production 1.6x that of customer’s current process.
• Led a customer project to completion within budget (~$100K), achieving 100% of target goal. Resulted in repeat customer business for another bioprocess development project.
• Established in-house AAV production workflow from the ground up within 1.5 years: performed plasmid amplification at mg scale, set up flow cytometer system for transfection efficiency evaluation, and designed viral.
