● Monitor and evaluate the District’s compliance with federal statutes, regulations, and policies ● Ensure that employment practices and contract agreements give equal opportunity to all applicants, staff, and students● Advise superintendents, general counsel, and others of investigation outcomes ● Prepare files for submission to the Alaska Commission on Human Rights and the EEOC● Develop and draft policies and procedures to comply with federal law● Create training programs related to Title IX, anti-discrimination and diversity for staff and students ● Triage, investigate and make findings in EEO and Title IX matters ● Work with labor relations to ensure collective bargaining agreements are followed during investigations and discipline proceedings● Attend diversity committees, diversity councils and Fairbanks Coalition events● Work in collaboration with District partners to conduct periodic self-audits of Title IX and Title VII cases and programs to ensure overall compliance● Review new regulations and EEOC cases to stay up to date and keep the District’s superintendents and executive directors advised● Maintain strict confidentiality on investigations and case outcomes● Oversee informal grievance processes to Title IX cases
