She is on the staff at Face the Nation, where she books the guests for this hugely popular public affairs and analysis news broadcast, hosted by Margaret Brennan, live on Sunday mornings at 10:30 on CBS. Carol is a published author, her memoir "Innocent Spouse" was published by Crown, and an Emmy-winning network news producer, a cable and web talk show host, social media content provider, and for 12 years the owner of Nathans, which was located at the corner of Wisconsin and M Streets in Georgetown from 1969-2009.Carol is the producer and host of long form cable TV interview program, The Q&A Cafe, She has interviewed more than 400 notable individuals. Carol won the Emmy Award for Best Interview for producing a Charlie Rose, CBS News hour-long prison interview with Charles Manson. In addition to CBS News, Carol was a producer for ABC News "Nightline" and "This Week" broadcasts, CNN's "Larry King Live," MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews"; she was a writer for "The CBS Evening News,” and won three Writer’s Guild Awards for Best Script; and was Washington Bureau Chief for the syndicated television edition of USA Today.
