after her own home renovation, Carol founded Carol Lang Interiors to fill a gap in the residential interior design market.After 10 years on the commercial interiors side, Carol was surprised that residential projects weren't treated by designers with the same rigor and service-level that her commercial clients were accustomed to.There was a gap in communication styles between trades and client; architects only made a fraction of the project selections; and few residential designers seemed to understand the construction world, schedules, bids, and timing the way Carol did after years walking job sites and working with high-level builders on complex projects.Selecting beautiful things, it turns out, is the easiest part of the job.Contractors love when she's on the job because they know they'll get answers quickly & correctly, and will have materials in hand before they start building. Clients love it because the process and project move smoothly and without unnecessary delays.
