Hi, I’m Carol Maker, licensed clinical social worker and the creator of INNER COURAGE ® Therapy, an artful and dynamic blend of EMDR, EFT, CBT, compassion, humor and insight. INNER COURAGE offers services to facilitate extraordinary personal change, rebuild lives and protect future generations.I was trained in EMDR Therapy in 2000 and today I am a Certified EMDR Clinician and Approved Consultant. It's effectiveness as both a therapeutic tool and trauma treatment has been shown in many clinical studies. I use EMDR along with other modalities for traumatic memories, anger and stress management, and PTSD symptoms.In 2006 I started the EMDR Therapist NETWORK to help people worldwide find a qualified EMDR therapist. Sadly, my tech team was in Ukraine and in 2014 when they had their Maidan Revolution their business was disrupted. I found their amazing work ethic hard to replace and a complex website difficult to maintain without my trusted techs. Although I retired this business, I am very grateful to have personal experience with the spirit of the Ukrainian people. For years I provided services in my office in the Arts District of Portland, Oregon. In 2019 when I transitioned to online services only, I began traveling the country while still providing cutting edge therapy to my Oregon clients. When the pandemic hit I received phone calls from therapist friends wondering how to do EMDR therapy online. I have moved 5 times in 3 years and now live in Bozeman, Montana. I work with individuals and couples whose lives have been compromised by stress, loss, conflict or trauma.
