She changed the paradigm of IT from a cost center to a value-added group. This approach aligns IT functions with the broader needs of business units, including cost efficiencies, productivity, lean operations and bottom-line profitability.Carol used software development lifecycles (SDLs) methodology including cross-functional communication and consensus building, taking ideas from concept to successful implementation.
