Supporting the Continuing Education office. This office is responsible for supporting the faculties in developing and offering continuing education to professionals currently in the labor market. The faculties are supported with the initial development of ideas, to the practical execution of the education (via support with marketing the courses, financial arrangements and the logistics necessary) to the conclusion of each course (by assisting with hard copy and digital certification). My responsibilities included:- organizing the EUCEN conference - this international conference for EU universities which an interest in continuing education and lifelong learning was hosted by the Utrecht University in 2023- coordinating all STAP subsidies offered awarded to Utrecht University students in continuing education programs- supporting and executing the Micro credentials and Edubadges pilot for all continuing education courses.

Responsible for oversight of all activities of the 5 years’ duration/ USD $36 million project. Project includes tracking of social and environmental impacts on communities and land/ construction of 101 vocational training classrooms in 8 locations throughout Suriname – urban and rural locations / enhancement of curricula used in TVET education/ training of teachers/ review of current offerings and teaching materials/ conversion of traditional system to new competency-based system/ study tour visits to other countries to learn best practices/ improving Monitoring and Evaluation within the Ministry. Liaised with stakeholders both within and outside of the Ministry, such as official government representatives (District Commissioners) and traditional leaders (Kaptein and Basjas) in both Maroon and Indigenous communities.Managed relationship with Project Steering Committee.▪ Project to impact approximately 13,000 students across Suriname – especially in the interior of Suriname where currently only primary school is available for the youth.▪ Financial oversight, procurement processes, M&E with specific attention to goals listed in results matrix.▪ Led team of consultants responsible for the implementation of the project.▪ Overall coordination of all project activities and meeting all reporting requirements to international funders and stakeholders.

Assisted Specialists in the review of the documentation submitted, validating eligibility and soundness of expenses. Reviewed disbursement requests to ensure completeness of documentation submitted, verifying that expenses are consistent with established conditions and agreement specifications.• Responsible for support of four loans – valued at $65 million• Responsible for support of three technical cooperation’s – valued at approximately $1.5 million• Coordinated communication between six execution units, their respective ministries within local government and the Bank appointed specialists and technicians.

Responsible for the coordination of the A Ganar program in Suriname. The program was implemented by several local implementing organizations (NGO’s). Responsible for identifying and supporting Implementing Organizations (IOs) with applying for sub grants. Additionally, review and revision of final budgets, final program plans (i.e. recruitment plan, individual phase plans, transportation plans/allocation of funds), programmatic personnel needs (i.e. facilitators, mentors, follow on coordinators, etc.). Ensured program quality by reviewing performance and assisting IOs in areas needing strengthening. Made final decision on IO agreement extension requests based on performance quality.• Responsible for the oversight and quality of all aspects and phases of the A GANAR Program.• Responsible for building relationships with private sector and government. • Coordinated program to grow from 190 participants to 330 participants.• Responsible for management and accountability of $88,000 donation from local donor. • Developed sustainability plan which includes fundraising, resource development, grant applications and expansion of network of key stakeholders.

Direct support to volunteers with public speaking, presentations, grant writing and fundraising strategies. Started up and coordinated the Peace Corps Response Program, which specialized in older, higher skilled volunteers for short assignments. Responsible for drafting job descriptions based on partner needs, assessing candidates in conjunction with recruiters at Peace Corps headquarters, designing and implementing training and orientation for new volunteers. - First point of contact for volunteers and Surinamese colleagues- Discovered new funding sources and secured funding for four projects.

Managed and administered the Lifeline Transportation Program to provide access to transportation to treatment for cancer patients. Established and maintained relationships with local leaders in healthcare, government, and communities. Promoted and provided marketing for American Cancer Society and its programs. Evaluated and monitored program progress. In preparation of monthly meetings directed Patient Services staff at local offices in logistics. • Expanded program and enhanced capacity by identifying and building coalitions in underserved areas. • Served as liaison between the American Cancer Society, state and local government and concerned citizens. • Facilitated and planned monthly and bi-monthly meetings with local coalitions to problem-solve transportation challenges. • Facilitated meeting to encourage community development.

(Nonprofit organization dedicated to helping troubled youth.)Risk Management and Benefits Department. Managed insurance claims for approximately 56 schools with twelve lines of insurance coverage. Monitored coverage and ensured that appropriate coverage was assigned to cover each school’s unique circumstances. Served as liaison between injured workers and claims adjusters – assisted adjusters with evaluating claims, while ensuring that workers were treated fairly. On a moment’s notice was appointed Interim Benefits Manager (for the duration of 4 months) responsible for benefits of approximately 1400 employees. Administered coverage, and managed all aspects of the Benefits Department. · Coordinated with HR and IT departments to implement and update HRIS system.· Reduced reserve on claims from previous years by $200,000.

Monitored all revenue generated on board. Administered access to cash registers, as well as computer access to passenger records. Managed passenger accounts to ensure adequate funds were available to cover passenger purchases.· Assisted with training new accountants.· Supervised Muster Station: responsible for the safety of 10 crew members and 300 guests in case of emergency.
