As a Children Officer for the Kenyan government, I successfully met my targets with various achievements. These included coordinating all child protection programs in Kenya. I prepared monitoring and evaluation tools for monitoring various programs like Violence Against Children school tool kit and Kenya Children Assembly tool. I prepared budgets and requested for donor funding. I produced high quality reports. I represented the Director Children Services at High Court of Kenya. I organized training workshops for policy formulations by Government and UNICEF joint partnership. Some of the documents developed were Alternative Family Care Guideline,Violence Against Children Response plan. I organized tainings in Child Care Protection Officers for five government agencies that include Judiciary, Children Services, Probation department, Prison department and Police Service. I ensured vibrant child participation program through the National Children Assembly through partnership with civil societies and international organizations like World Vision, Plan International, GOAL Kenya, UNICEF among others.
