I partner with small- to mid-sized ($5M to $50M annual gross) companies to develop a comprehensive strategy for interactive marketing. I serve as an "internet consultant," mediating between the client and the creative/technical team so that the client team can focus on the business.

Responsible for developing and maintaining overall major in-house applications – from initial needs analysis through all phases of the programming process to implementation – to meet company objectives. These cost-saving projects include the following:♦ Sample Processing and Tracking: Program required to comply with all relevant FDA requirements; ability to fill sample requests individually; and mechanism to process automatically requests generated from the Sales Reps. Electronic gathering of doctor signatures and transmission of that data to headquarters was a crucial element of this project. Annual savings over external software approximately $200,000 per year.♦ Expense Tracking and Reporting: Customized to the company, this program enables personnel to enter their expense data electronically and send that data directly to a central database for processing and reporting. Program results in more efficient entry of expense data, more accurate and faster integration of data into central database, and more sophisticated and useful analytical reports.♦ Medicaid Entry and Analysis: Program to track a complicated system of State Medicaid rebates; required to calculate automatically all past payments as well as payment for the current invoice. Annual savings over external software approximately $200,000 per year.♦ Sales Lead Tracking: Program for sales reps to enter and track new sales leads using a customized database where they are able to track leads, addresses, and all field-call notes.♦ Returned Goods Tracking: Program to track returned goods and the monies charged for these goods. Enables the company to recover about $8,000 per year in incorrect billings.♦ Shipping Application: Program to track shipments of drugs to companies throughout the country according to standards established by DEA and individual states. System implements complex bar-coding requirements to assure that drugs cannot be diverted or tampered with.

♦ Partnered with diverse companies – from very small to Fortune 500 businesses – in a variety of skill areas from graphics to electronic publishing to database and report development.♦ Developed project planning databases for Harvard Business School Publishing and Putnam Investments.♦ Created complex reports using a custom interface between Lotus and Access for Ernst & Young.

Served in various roles over an 8-year timeframe. Key skills used were writing and editing. I wrote all printed documents and speeches for the President of the College. I edited/wrote College documents such as the annual report, strategic planning statement, and others.

Edited college textbooks for content, style, consistency, clarity, and coverage. This work involved some research and finesse in dealing with authors.
