As an experienced member of the C-Suite, I help companies drive growth through leading M&A and strategic transactions. I help my business clients balance risk with reward by using laws and regulations to achieve business goals and streamline business processes. I enjoy helping build companies - whether by obtaining capital financing, completing acquisitions, or building the infrastructure necessary to take a company to the next level.Helping build also means helping companies create high performing legal and compliance teams, whether hiring internally or putting together a collaborative team of outside counsel. I am also keenly focused on mentoring women and creating opportunities for diverse teammates to achieve their career goals. I currently operate my solo practice, Tower Street Legal, LLC (TSL), as its Principal. TSL provides outside general counsel services to companies in technology, healthcare and insurance, providing business-friendly and efficient legal services to growth-based companies in those spaces.Prior to creating TSL, I served as the General Counsel of Sovrn, a media and ad technology company. I helped Sovrn complete a Series C funding round in 2022, and then refinanced its debt facility in 2023 following the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. I also served as the interim head of the human resources function.Prior to joining Sovrn, I served as the General Counsel of Alera Group, Inc., a private equity backed insurance brokerage firm, where I was integrally involved in the evolution of the company, helping to grow its revenue by approximately $700 million in four years, closing over 120 acquisitions. At Alera, I led the internal legal team and served as an executive sponsor of Alera’s diversity and inclusion and women’s leadership initiatives.
