I advise and process labor related issues, ensuring compliance with tax and labor laws. I set-up and led HR Compliance procedures with an integrated compliance strategy across compensation, benefits, retirement and equity programs, applying measures to control and mitigate risk effectively. My leadership remit extends to managing audits, regulatory surveys and risks ensuring thorough risk assessments. I am a member of the Incident Management Team in response to pandemic incidents.Employment and Expatriate Taxes: Before in-house roles, I spent 12 years at a “Big 4” firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), performing Corporate tax work with PwC Malaysia and specialised in individual tax with PwC Singapore managing global engagements across all industries. I led teams on tax planning and compliance, advised on equity incentives, policy design, compensation and benefits structuring, and solutions for employee tax, immigration and global mobility matters. I negotiated tax mitigation strategies for clients with the authorities and spoke frequently on Expatriate Tax at seminars. In my current Tax Compliance role, I implement tax strategies tailored to the regulatory environments of APGC locations, ensure compliance with tax law and identify opportunities for tax optimization across the region. I recommend tax approaches for business decisions and provide strategic recommendations to minimize risk.
