I volunteer for the Lansing Chapter of Climate Reality. Our current campaigns are: Our Climate Moment, Plastic Pollution Reduction, Water Pollution, and Presentation and Education Development. This group is primarily lead by students at Okemos High School

I coordinated Michigan State University's Pesticide Safety Education Program including obtaining annual funding. Job responsibilities included writing, editing, and publishing national and state manuals on pesticide applicator certification including the National Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual. I also facilitated the translation of the core manual into Spanish and developed many of the state-wide pesticide applicator certification exams currently in use. Other duties including organizing and developing training seminars for extension agents and pesticide users and handlers and producing brochures and general information for the public on pests and pesticides. I served as the chair and/or member of several committees related to pesticide safety issues, policies or practice.
