Caron Fitzpatrick, a lifelong learner and educator, is deeply passionate about travel and the environment. With a post-graduate certificate in Event Management and various event certifications such as PCMA Digital Event Strategist and Social Media Management, as well as a Master’s Degree in Tourism Management, Caron brings a wealth of experience to her roles.Having served as a Professor at Algonquin College for over twenty years, Caron's extensive background spans a diverse array of event sectors. Her portfolio includes planning and executing a wide range of events, from election campaigns and tradeshows to races, galas, golf tournaments, conventions, annual general meetings, awards ceremonies, and festivals.In her role as Coordinator of the Event Management Graduate Certificate and Professor in the Bachelor of Event, Sport, and Entertainment Honours Degree, Caron has crafted and taught an array of courses. These courses cover Marketing, Social Media Management, Logistics, Event Production, Event Strategies, Event Programming and Entertainment, Human Resources and Volunteer Management, Revenue Management, and Sponsorship and Partnership Development.Over the past decade, Caron has dedicated herself to providing students with opportunities to immerse themselves in other cultures. She facilitates various work, study, and cultural exchanges in Asia and Europe, often accompanying small groups of students abroad during the Spring semester. These exchanges have not only allowed Caron to develop and teach courses and workshops but also to offer guest lectures. Through her work, Caron serves as a positive role model and mentor, sharing her enthusiasm for events, education, and travel.
