Responsible for the overall management of the Charity which operates across three sites, including an Animal Sanctuary and Visitor Centre. Employing 39 staff and with around 300 volunteers. A turnover of £1.1 million, caring for and rehoming up to 1,200 animals per year.

Responsible for a national service providing advice, information, guidance and support to individuals, their families and the wider general public. The service includes a helpline, case workers and information development for the organisation’s website.Also responsible for a national visiting service ensuring an appropriate, quality service is provided by staff and volunteers to over 500 clients.

Responsible for a regional team working with local Mencap groups and campaigning in the region.

• Responsible for the management of a multi-disciplinary team working with the children and their families.• Managing the staff responsible for maintaining the house, grounds, administration and finances of the organisation.• Representing the organisation externally including in the media, TV, radio etc.• Liaison with health, education and social services.• Providing the organisation with strategic clinical direction.
