Instructor of the Green Practice: Energy and Air Quality Principles. The concept of an environmentally conscious building should take into account energy consumption, the quality of indoor air, and most importantly human comfort. Indigenous strategies that adapt to the rigors of the local climate and contemporary bioclimatic architecture are part of this introductory course to sustainable design. Participants will be introduced to the human needs for comfort and shelter as well as psychrometrics and the physics of heat transfer and heat loss calculations. Building form, orientation, and indoor spaces will also be discussed as they relate to sun, wind, and site, as well as bioclimatic design, passive solar design, natural cooling, and daylighting.

Perform national and international energy consulting services evaluating and analyzing energy problems and requirements. These services include energy use studies, large and small scale consumption analysis, code analysis, renewable generation implementation, demand response incorporation and verification, utility program analysis, measurement and verification, LEED, sustainable cities and campus incorporation, and other high level energy incorporation and potential studies. Specialties include building energy modeling, predictive energy analysis, energy optimization, and unique methods of saving energy.

Manage the energy department supporting multiple offices in energy needs including utility work, incentives, LEED, energy audits, building modeling, etc.

Energy engineering analysis for utilities, commercial and industrial customers and renewable technologies.

Energy efficiency program management, energy audits, commissioning, custom rebate, etc.

HVAC design focusing on sound control and custom designs nationwide.
