Colorado Cultivars is a small start up industrial hemp farm and we also claim the title to being the largest hemp farm in the U.S. With nearly 2,000 acres under cultivation in 2017 there are a lot of shoes to fill and hats to wear for our staff including myself. Through daily determined efforts, hard work and organized, methodical systems improvement I've gone from being hired as a farm hand to now managing our production of many hempseed food as well as CBD health products. Even though I may not have known it as a child, organic gardening and farming has always been in my blood. My family and I have maintained a large backyard garden my entire life and I've been. I've grown up with and around plants of all sorts. There are always trellises to be built, irrigation systems to install or repair and crops to tend to. I've been doing these types of projects with my family most of my life. For a while I was distracted with my insurance career and making money. But then I started to feel a part of me was missing. So, I switched gears and went head on in to agriculture work. With this company, I've vastly improved my farming skills and knowledge of running an agricultural business rather than just a garden.
