Hospitality, relationships, mentoring, communication, leadership development, teamwork, creativity and growth and been the words to describe my career path.12 years with Marriott International got my feet wet with everything from Conference Services, Event Management, Trainer, Catering Sales Manager, up to Direct of Event Management. This instilled in me a sense of structure, customer focus, cross departmental communication, fiscal accountability, attention to detail and desire for career movement.Other opportunities in Event Rentals, Venue Management, and Wedding Planning have also been stops along the journey.A side-step for family life led to a part time position turned full time position of Youth Ministry, which filled another 11 years. Relationship building, mentoring young adults, communication, teaching, planning mission trips/retreats/camp, encouraging growth, fundraising filled these years with great experiences. A recent path took me through a Texas Hill Country winery with an opportunity to conceptualize, design and market, plan logistics, surpass a sales budget, manage staffing and expenses, and execute events for corporate clients, Wine Club members, private owners and public attendance.I’m excited to be starting as the Director of Sales for a hotel in downtown Fredericksburg and onboarding with Hospitality Management Corporation for this next chapter!
