Associate Director of Operations for the Interdisciplinary Studies division, which encompasses four academic departments at ArtCenter. I work directly with the Dean, Department Chairs, Provost of Operations, and Executive Director to organize all aspects of divisional and College-wide events and guest speakers, manage spaces, and oversee divisional budgets. Liaison for the academic minor programs, managing student advising and working with the Chairs to develop their cohorts. Current initiatives include the development of a Pacific Rim Studies minor and Environmental Studies minor. Administrator for the College's Institutional Research Board and Human Research task force, with an eye toward creating a culture of inquiry and compliance within the unique environment of an art and design school. The student experience informs all the work I do at the College, be it student-facing or behind the scenes. I teach surface design studios for upper-term ArtCenter Illustration students. Past classes have covered hospitality environments, and skate and swim prints and graphics, with an eye toward diversity of artistic voices.I also design, illustrate, and do portraiture for clients.
