Responsible for immigration advising and for on-going implementation of SEVIS requirements and ensuring full compliance with federal regulations associated with SEVIS, including but not limited to data collection, maintenance and entry of information for issuing I-20s and DS-2019s. Meeting immigration registration deadlines and reporting requirements as mandated by the US Department of Homeland Security.Advising international students on all F& J immigration matters and employment benefits such as CPT, OPT and AT.Stays up-to-date with the latest regulations, rules, interpretations of laws, and best practices through teleconferences, webinars, online training and attending NAFSA Conferences. Works with other offices on campus to ensure students’ personal data remains up-to-date in the TU and SEVIS systems. Ex Business office and current Financial Guarantees, Student Affairs and current FERPAS, Athletics and ITINs.Serves as lead immigration officer for all English Institute students. Acts as a liaison to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), US Department of State, US Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Customs and Border Protection, and The SEVIS Program.

Assisting the Director and Assistant Director of Admissions by inputting initial applications, completing applications, typing admission letters, completing admission packets and sending admission letters via FedEx; Communicating with potential and current students via telephone, email, and in person; Using Informer to create lists of applicants’ status and ensure that files are current and organized; Assisting the English Institute’s Department Assistant II in immigration check ins for newly arrived students; Managing the department email account; Using ImageNow to scan all current students’ documents; Assisting the SEVIS compliance officer, and the Assistant Deans in regards to student compliance with federal insurance regulations for international students.

Managing the Judge’s calendar – Scheduling and setting meetings, hearings, and trials; Docketing and tracking motions; Reading and interpreting local and state laws; Typing, mailing and filing orders; Managing the Judge’s pending case log; Answering questions regarding cases via phone, mail, email and in person.

Working with the Oklahoma Tax Commission to intercept tax money on delinquent cases; Maintaining counts of available funds and funds received from the Oklahoma Tax Commission; Setting up payment plans; Researching and issuing bench warrants; Answering inquiries regarding individual cases via phone, mail, email and in person.
