Carrie is a team builder, creative guide, conscientious leader, and award-winning designer focused on crafting engaging interior environments. As partner at yellow wood studio, a boutique design, development, and preservation practice, she collaborates with her team and her clients to deliver inspired solutions, on time and on budget, while building long-term, respectful relationships. Carrie's twenty-five years of domestic and international experience at firms both large and small bridges both commercial and residential design, including deep experience in single-family residential, multifamily residential (high rise, midrise, garden-style, and affordable), hospitality, restaurant, higher education, retail/mixed-use, and corporate interiors. Carrie's projects have won numerous awards, and her team was named one of the Top 100 Multifamily Interior Design Firms in the country in 2015 by "Interior Design" magazine. Carrie currently divides her time between Seattle and New Orleans, where she recently completed a Masters in Preservation Studies at the Tulane School of Architecture, with a focus on sensitive and sustainable adaptive reuse of historic structures for single-family, multifamily, and hospitality needs. Her preservation skills and services include interior design for historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse structures, existing building and design documentation, historic structures surveys and conditions reports, property research, National Register and state register nominations, federal and state historic tax credit applications, and preservation project guidelines and work plans. Carrie is a Louisiana Registered Interior Designer (License No.1532) and Yellow Wood Studio is a Louisiana Registered Interior Design Firm.
