I manage the Employee Communication team within Corporate Communicate at Kiewit, one of the largest construction and engineering firms in North America. I support and manage strategic communication efforts for staff and field operating districts across multiple employee communication channels, including communication plans, print and digital publications and video production. I support internal and external communication for the chairman of the board, and provide frequent support to the chairman and other executives across all eight of Kiewit and its subsidiaries’ operating markets and various departments including Human Resources, Benefits, Recruiting, Environmental and Safety. I teach a Writing Like a Professional class within our corporate field supervisor school, a contributing writer for Kieways, Kiewit's external magazine, and I assist internal clients with various strategic communication initiatives.

I teach Strategic Communication, Media Literacy and Successful Career Change Strategy personal development courses at Metro’s Millwork Commons campus.

After serving as an independent consultant for Bloom.com for one year, I joined Bloom's team full-time as their communication manager and social editor, managing all platforms and developing the successful brand ambassador program made up of handpicked YouTubers, bloggers and industry professionals to evangelize the brand. I also produced CEO communication, marketing email strategies, business development presentations, site content, and trade school educational programs. I managed public and media relations, event planning and content production including executive communication, executive ghostwriting, blogs, digital tutorials and scripts for promotional videos.

Wrote and edited content (online and print) for all regional markets as well as the national gown book, The Nest and The Bump magazines. I also served as the regional magazine reporter and blogger, covering wedding industry trends, venues and resorts for five markets including Colorado, Minnesota, Georgia, North Carolina/Outer Banks and DC-MD-VA.

Managed a team of reporters and photographers while producing full newscasts, stories in the field and half-hour specials at KETV in Omaha, Nebraska. I produced the local public affairs show "Kaleidoscope," which aired every Sunday and was hosted by now Omaha City Councilman Ben Gray. Multiple Associated Press and Nebraska Broadcasters Association Award winner.

Assisted in the creation and execution of the nation's first fully-automated television news station. Managed a team of anchors, reporters and photographers, producing and editing a nightly primetime newscast with the automated ParkerVision system. The role was brief due to a company buy-out resulting in a market duopoly.

Produced an hour long, primetime newscast five days a week. Managed a team of reporters, photographers and graphics artists.
