Key achievements include:- Opening new markets for IFC’s PPP advisory work in Iraq, Kurdistan and Palestine;- Expansion of PPP advisory pipeline in Jordan to include surface transport, water and streetlighting projects - pipeline established during my tenure continues to serve as a source for deals more than 5 years following my departure from IFC;- Pioneering closer collaboration with investment colleagues to support private developers during early stage deal development on the Tafila wind IPP, which won Project Finance’s Middle Eastern Renewables Deal of the Year 2013, and an IFC Corporate Award in 2014.- Leading the IFC and World Bank teams that delivered the first PPP in the West Bank, a solid waste project, which included arranging an innovative blended finance credit support mechanism, and won an IFC Corporate Award in 2014;- Serving as a senior resource across the global PPP advisory practice for projects in transit, solid waste and economic zones, and as a lecturer in the IFC Master Class Series; - Creating the position of IFC’s global lead for PPPs in Fragile and Conflict Affected States and serving in that role from 2011 to 2015, resulting in the adoption of strategy to increase IFC’s ability to engage in these challenging jurisdictions.- Advising on a diverse range of projects across sectors and countries, examples of which include: the sale of Air Jamaica, the development of the Konza Economic Zone in Kenya, the first IPP in Afghanistan, the first attempts at IPPs in Iraq, toll roads in Syria, Economic Zone in Bangladesh, wastewater treatment in Kurdistan, solar power in Palestine, solid waste in Lebanon, the Cairo Heliopolis Tram project, a wind IPP in Indonesia, and an urban bus PPP in Palestine, among others.
