• Wrote and submitted FY13 Community Developmental Disabilities grant proposal narrative which was scored in the top three submissions for this type of grant funding by the State of Alaska. • Secured over $797,000 in grant fundis for the agency, making respite and habilitative services available to over 90 eligible clients across seven communities in Southeast Alaska.• Organized and restructured the Grant Services program to be more efficient and fiscally responsible by increasing accountability of staff, strictly monitoring funding allotments, and prioritizing funding based on client needs, allowing our department to recover from an agency-wide budget crisis and remain on-target for hiring additional staff. • Managed the Grant Services program by hiring and supervising direct service professionals, tracking usage of funds and services, reporting to the State of Alaska quarterly on grant statistics and progress towards agency goals as outlined in the approved grant proposal.• Invited to participate in workgroup appointed to reconcile the agency’s policies and procedures regarding payroll with state and federal labor laws, human resource regulations, the needs of the accounting department, and the needs of salaried and hourly staff. The result was a streamlined, simplified, fiscally responsible, and regulatory compliant payroll system. • Nominated by peers to sit on the Leadership Council, a committee of individuals who have demonstrated leadership qualities and focuses on professional development, workgroup problem solving, and advises the Senior Management team on agency-wide matters. • Facilitated trainings during the agency’s monthly new-employee orientation, including use of Therap and proper documentation and provision of goal-directed services, giving new employees the initial tools and training needed to perform and document their jobs.• Continued to perform all functions and duties of the Program Developer position
