Carolyn "Carrie" Mcpherson Email and Phone Number

As a Social Work Field Intern, McPherson shadows various social workers and volunteer coordinators in assisting families in the foster care system in North Mississippi. This includes home and school visits, as well as over 80 hours of youth court processions. McPherson also completed a macro project where she compiled a thorough list of community resources for three counties in Mississippi.

Using her past experience in a multitude of AP art classes and networking skills, McPherson has built a considerable clientele base for her freelance art commissions. She spends much of her time designing custom signs, backdrops, and canvases based on her client's wants. She consistently creates happy customers who come back to her for all their celebration and decorative needs.

The Director of Recruitment Ethics for UMCPH is an expert on all governing documents that surround Panhellenic life and recruitment. McPherson lobbies within the Panhellenic community for equitable changes to these documents, striving to make Panhellenic life more inclusive. She selected and educates a group of 35 women known as the Ethics Board. Through her guidance and management, they enforce recruitment rules throughout the community in a thoughtful manner. McPherson also handles all recruitment related mediations and judicial hearings, leveraging an emphatic, professional, and improvement- focus approach to all sanctions.

McPherson mentored high school students attending The University of Mississippi for summer programs. She built relationships with multiple students by tutoring and planning social events to ensure an extraordinary time at the university.

The first hire of this small business, McPherson delivered exceptional customer service to all who walked through the doors of Pottery Haven. She gathered expansive knowledge of the pottery painting and firing process, making the information accessible to all age groups. Whether handing a birthday party of dozens of 5 year old's or assisting grandmothers with their ability to paint straight lines, McPherson assisted all with a strong attention to detail and friendly demeanor. In addition to her managerial and personal skills, McPherson created many exceptional custom art pieces and murals for the studio, generating much local rapport. She also delivered hundreds of pieces of custom calligraphy for the studio, which was a main marketing point for the business.
