Profile bio

About Carrie Plover, Jd, Msw

After graduating from Fordham Law School in May 2024, I passed the Uniform Bar Exam and began a full-time role in family defense with the Center for Family Representation. My application to the New York State Bar is under review, and I expect to be admitted in early 2025. My legal interests include family defense as well as education, disability, and housing law. As a law student, I built skills in each of these substantive areas through externships, a law school clinic, and my leadership in public service-oriented extracurricular activities. In recognition of my leadership, I received awards from Fordham's Public Interest Resource Center and the National Association of Women Lawyers. Before law school, I earned my Master of Social Work degree and worked as a licensed master social worker in community mental health care and domestic violence services. In my legal practice, I call upon my social work skills when advocating for clients, tackling difficult conversations, and contributing to interdisciplinary teams.

Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Public Speaking, Social Media, Editing, and 30 others.
