Nairobi (Kenya)

I won two GSM turnkey contracts with the Orange affiliates in Kenya and Uganda. We rolled out of fast 3G solution and I recently inked a LTE (4G) deal. We were awarded the three first contracts with Orange in MEA for managed services and for IP mobile backhaul and for renewable energy. I also sold our pre-paid (IN) and post-paid (billing) and subscribers data management (SDM) solutions.I booked in excess of € 100 million.

Amman (Jordan)

In the frame of the reconstruction of Iraq, we won two main contracts for rolling out a national-wide microwave backbone funded by the Japanese aid and a transit switches network funded by the World Bank. We expanded our DSL solutions in Jordan and Palestine and were awarded a convergent billing contract (mobile, fixed and internet) by Jordan Telecom.I booked in excess of € 50 million

Teheran (Iran)

A consortium (Irancell) led by the MTN from South Africa awarded to Alcatel-Lucent a GSM turnkey contract in Iran by and I was appointed the program manager. In few weeks, I recruited a team of 20 telecom engineers, half of them being women, for the network design and for the supervision of the rollout. The first phase was put on air after six months.The contract value was circa € 40 million.

Johannesburg (South Africa)

I was appointed head of the sales & presales team of 15 heads for addressing the mobile service providers in Southern Africa. I inked a new GSM turnkey contract with Vodacom in DRC in 2003 and I enjoyed a tremendous increase of our contracts in Angola. To our customers, we sold wireless access, microwave and optical transmission, pre-paid solutions and core networks.The yearly orders intake ranged between € 100 and 120 million.

Abu Dhabi (Uae)

I was first appointed presales manager for the mobile service providers in the Gulf countries and one year later I was also appointed regional sales manager for Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE and Yemen with a presales team of 5 heads. Our main business was with Etisalat, Investcom and Qatar Telecom where we swapped one of our competitors in 2000.The yearly orders intake ranged between 30 and 50 million Euros

Rio De Janeiro (Brasil)

I moved to Brazil to support the local tendering team to bid for several tenders during the award process of the mobile regional licenses. Alcatel had partnered with Motorola and Hughes Networks to offer CDMA and TDMA systems and we worked with their teams to put together comprehensive offers in very short time frames. I also delivered a presentation of our wireless solutions in Tokyo to a japanese operator KDD and three months later we inked our first GSM contract (c. € 20 million) in Paraguay where KDD had obtained a license.

Paris (Nanterre & Velizy)

I worked on several GSM and microwave projects for Europe, Africa and Middle East. I prepared the bids to tenders, participated to the negotiations of contracts with several customers and delivered some presentations of our GSM and microwave portfolio in Bahrain, Beijing, Johannesburg, Nairobi, Tripoli and Tunis.

Kenya & Uganda & Yemen

I was the project manager for two microwave transmission projects in Kenya for the Ministry of Interior and in Uganda for the Uganda railways.I did my military service as the roll out manager for a turnkey microwave transmission network with the defense forces in Yemen.
