Once Upon a Time I was Passionately Driven by my Profession. For some, I Understand, I Get it, and I Know it is Important but, I Sacrificed my Faith, my Family, and my Well-being to Stay One Step Ahead of the Proverbial Axe, seeing it Happen too Many Times to Count. No One is at Fault, Other than Myself. I worked in a Job where Worth was Defined by Little-to No Mistakes, Staying in Your Lane and on the Good Side of the Leadership Law. At Least, that is How it was Defined in My Mind. And it Worked, for a while. Until it Most Definitely Did Not. Work that Fueled Me Suddenly Came Back Void. I Had Risen to the Ranks Just to Realize that in Order to Stay there my Life, my weekends, my Vacations, my very Personality was Not my Own.During this Time, I sought the Lord, like Never before. I Opened up my Bible, 💯-fold compared to the Last Decade. I Poured Over His Words, I Tasted (Psalm 34:8; 119:3) His Promise and He Irrevocably Changed Me from the Inside Out. And could You Tell!? I Could Tell. My Family Could Tell. AND My Work Could Definitely Tell and I was Set Free! From the Bondage of Life that Said Your Profession is What Defines You or Least It Had Me for far too Long.As Quickly as I Rose 🆙 the Ladder of “Success” (5 Promotions in 6 Years and Just as Many Supervisors) I Descended as Soon as the Lord Showed Me My Time there Had Come to an End.So, Where Am I? Living the Dream?Yes! But not by the World’s 🌍 Standards.Over the Course of One Year, When What I Thought was “The Indefinite Plan,” came to a Definite End I was Invited to Write an Excerpt in a Book, published Armor Up Anchor Down devotional, created aHeartCarriedAway writing ministry, Went on 2️⃣ Mission Trips, and Volunteered with organizations that further His Kingdom. I also work your typical 9-to-5, but for the Lord, First and Foremost, putting His Needs ahead of My Wants.I Now Live by Scripture First, and Define Success by How Many Lives can be touched by the Authentic, Empathetic and Transparent Love ❤️ of Christ. Praying that He will allow this to be Just the Beginning! “Lead me to the Rock,”Psalm 61:2“Stand in the Gap,”Ezekiel 22:30“Therefore Go and Make Disciples,”Matthew 28:18-20“Take Every Thought Captive to Obey Christ.”2 Corinthians 10:3-5#aHeartCarriedAway♥️
