Assist with teaching and learning duties. Originally I was employed in this post to deliver Culinary Skills sessions to aged 14-16 learners. Currently providing staffing support to the hospitality department on a casual basis.

I’m delighted to announce that I have gained the additional role of Seafood School Project Coordinator at Grimsby Institute. I’m excited to be working with some skilled and knowledgeable internal teams, plus external stakeholders on this fantastic initiative at Grimsby. Sensitively promoting the legacy of fishing heritage in Grimsby & contributing to current industry demands of the seafood sector, plus remaining in-tune to the wider demands of the hospitality sector. I prepared fresh foods daily for service, ensured the kitchen was fully stocked with food prep daily.I worked in the grill kitchen, which included prepping up for service and running the kitchen alone on quieter shifts. On busier days I worked alongside other Chefs. I alternated between the pass and the grill depending on the shifts. I closed down the kitchen at the end of service by following strict hygiene methods, date labelling foods and check the prep for the following day, I wrote up prep lists for the following day. Took temperature checks of fridges and freezers to ensure they were workingcorrectly and to promote due diligence. Responsible for adhering to food safety legislation.
