The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) is a 501 (c) (6) non-profit organization operating on behalf of the tenants and commercial and residential property owners in Long Beach’s Downtown and surrounding areas. It is dedicated to the management, marketing, security, maintenance, advocacy, economic and community development of its two assessment districts in cooperation with the City of Long Beach and the private sector.--Developed and managed a $500,000 annual department budget.--Drove the vision for Downtown business & commercial real estate investment resulting inover $130mil in private investment.--Launched the Entrepreneurship Education Series, Woman Owned Business Accelerator andfunding then administering small business grants for over 300 businesses – resulting inDowntown business retention, expansion and attraction.--Created www.DTLBbusiness.com for downtown business marketing support purposes--Catapulted the DLBA into the leading site-selection resource for business and commercialreal estate investment.--Partnered with Google, Shopify, CSULB’s Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship,CSULB Office of Economic Research, Long Beach City College, Small BusinessDevelopment Center, Pacific-Gateway, WeWork, Molina Healthcare, City of Long Beach,and Wonder Woman Tech to launch programs defining Downtown Long Beach as anepicenter for regional Entrepreneurship.--Established the DLBA as the City of Long Beach’s first Kiva Trustee.--Created and leveraged the following data tools to support Downtown Long Beach’s retailthe occupancy rate of over 90% including the automated Downtown Pedestrian Count System,Annual Business Survey, Downtown Resident Census, and the Annual Investor, Developer,and Broker Mixer.
