Administrative Intern
CurrentUnder the directions of the Assistant Housing Manager, my duties include assisting in administrating and implementing the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) policies. This includes providing information and excellent customer service to tenants and landlords on various HACLA programs such as Section 8 and Public Housing. I also help clients by referring them to housing programs they qualify for and guiding them through filling out applications. Additionally, I aid disabled clients with checking into kiosks and registering them to HACLA’s housing portal. I also receive incoming confidential documents from clients and input notes into HACLA’s filing system software. Along with these duties, I develop and maintain departmental databases, records, and documentation; complete, type, and copy, standardized documents; inform the supervisor of policy and procedural activities as well as read and route incoming correspondence. Facilitate communication between clients and their assigned advisors on scheduled meetings, required documents, and updates on client's status for applications.
