After a lengthy career of nearly 28 years in the Winnipeg Police Service and another year with Workplace Safety and Health in Manitoba, my husband and I decided to purchase an Irish Pub in Miramichi, New Brunswick. Jamie and I have always wanted to move to the Maritimes (he is originally from Cape Breton) and after more than 30 years in Manitoba, we succeeded. My law enforcement career was very fulfilling. I accomplished a lot of things in many different units - mostly organized crime, gang and drug units and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Buying a Pub was a sharp left turn in my life and never part of the original plan, but I'm so glad I did. My previous training has prepared me to thrive in stressful, fast-paced, change-driven environments and being new to the restaurant business, is all of that and more. I look forward to the future!
