As an EMT I perform medical evaluations, treatment, stabilization and transport of the ill and injured. I primarily respond to emergency rescue situations, and interfacility patient transportation. In this position I am improving myself as a medical professional by developing my patient assessment skills, patient treatment skills, and bedside manner in a prehospital setting.

I produced FDA compliant procedures for novel biomedical equipment manufacturing processes. I also participated in the generation and execution of validation activities such as Installation, Operation, and Performance Qualifications using the compliance procedures. This position worked to improved my ability to write FDA compliant technical documents and perform validation activities in a manufacturing environment. All the work I performed had to meet specifications laid out by the company requesting our services, and was required to meet expectations above and beyond what is typically required by the FDA.

As an intern, I developed FDA compliant medical processes, ensured first time quality, reduced cost and increased throughput by developing and executing appropriate Verification and Validation procedures. This position provided me the ability to utilize the skills I learned during my undergraduate program in a professional environment. It demonstrated to me how the product design and development process is carried out within an interdisciplinary team. I improved my ability to write technical reports that contributed to the completion of a 510k, and cemented the importance of quality control systems during the design and manufacturing processes.

Performed the daily financial and system audits. Reset and solved any system issues to insure daily hotel functions were seamless. In addition to this I worked the front desk and ensured the guests were content with their stays. This job has expanded my ability to solve problems that arise without any outside assistance as well as further developed interpersonal skills. It required me to work independently and be willing to make decisions without confirmation from a supervisor.

While working here I learned valuable interpersonal skills through interacting with coworkers, and helping guests resolve problems they might have and making their stay more pleasurable.
