As a kid who grew up around emergency services, I have always been intrigued by the flashing lights and sirens, knowing that help is on the way. Something about the big red firetrucks has always caught my attention, and I have known deep down that it is the career path I want to follow.For the past 4 years I have spent my time as part of the Springfield Fire Department Explorer Post, climbing the ranks and gaining experience and knowledge along the way. Along with this, I have dedicated a large amount of hours attending trainings twice a month, as well as volunteering whenever need be.Now that I am a senior, and my time at PPHS is coming to a close, I have begun looking into and have applied to Lincoln Land Community College to pursue my desired career by obtaining my paramedics licensure, as well as an Associate's degree in Fire Science. I hope to achieve my goal and ultimately become a firefighter, and use my skills to the best of my ability.
