Responsible for creating and providing technical and administrative support for the SAP Hana Item Master including but not limited to, MRO parts, consumed goods, services, and raw materials by creating and maintaining item master data within the material master SAP database. Using a standardized format technique such as Oniqua to maintain the cataloging, item numbers, record maintenance, and the creation/updating of vendor information records. • Develop and maintain the SAP Hana item master data program to ensure integrity is sustained. • Develop a basic understanding of all item master fields as well as their embedded conditions and impacts on the various modules and interfacing with other systems. • Maintain electronic records of data requests including but not limited to creation of part classifications, GL links, deletions/additions, item number sequencing, item standardized formatting, and update/change requests. • Manage item master projects and assist with the development of an automated electronic upload tool. • Monitor purchasing activity to ensure item master listed materials are being procured in the proper manner to best leverage the company for cost savings opportunities. • Support SCM group with analysis and reporting of materials activities within item master database and other projects as needed.• Benchmark applicable item master programs to implement best practice. • Preparation and participating in presentations and meetings to inform customers and stakeholders of the importance of item master data integrity.
