A recent college graduate from Oakland University with BS in computer science focusing in cybersecurity. During my time at Oakland I was also employed as a Cybersecurity Student Engineer. Throughout my coursework I learned various programming languages including C, C#, Java, and Python. In addition, I learned various programming techniques, like the use of object oriented programming, parallel processing, and data structures. I also learned and am comfortable with database management and SQL as a result of my coursework. My coursework also covered subjects focusing on information security and encryption techniques, as well as software security and common vulnerabilities found within software. The projects I worked on throughout my academic career taught me the value of strong collaborative and communicative skills, both in working with your peers and presenting you work to others.As a student engineer at Oakland University, I gained a great deal of experience working in a SIEM environment, specifically Splunk. With Splunk I enjoyed creating and updating dashboards to make them more efficient and able to display more data, increasing the productivity of our entire team.
