I am passionate about using elements from natural systems to improve electro-mechanical systems. I am a researcher with Dr. Medina's Soft Robotics Group at Liberty University. To date, I co-authored two journal articles with Dr. Medina pertaining to modeling and control methods for dielectric elastomer actuators. As a student, I have worked on the design of four autonomous robots both for my required courses and for competition. Also, I have helped to advance the soft robotics group by performing research supported by CRS at Liberty University pertaining to the design of biomimetic systems. Likewise, I am doing research supported by the Directed Energy Professional Society (DEPS) on stabilization of free-space optical communication systems (FSOCs). I am interested in any opportunity to advance engineering and science through research and application.
