Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Denton, Texas, United States
During my internship as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Peterbilt, I assumed responsibilities aimed at managing Peterbilt owned tools within the PLM software WindChill. A core aspect of my role involved processing incoming tool allocations into Windchill, a task that required me to provide information such as tool life cycle, cost, depreciation values, and manufacturing process types. In Creo, I inspected CAD drawings of parts to discern the most suitable manufacturing processes. Furthermore, I collaborated with fellow engineers to compile detailed tooling data reports from Windchill, facilitating great communication and informed decision-making for management. Over the course of my internship, I generated more than 90 tool processing reports tailored to various departments and upper-level management for communication and keeping everyone informed.
