I am a student in the Haslem College of Business at the University of Tennessee. I am studying to get a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a collateral in Supply Chain Management. I have a very competitive drive to always be the best. I become obsessed over my work and strive to do absolutely anything to improve and become more efficient. I also take over leadership roles because not only am I proficient in organizing a group to accomplish a goal but as well as dealing with different types of people and finding a way to get the most out of someone. I have been described as “a sponge” by my previous employer Ferguson because of my ability to learn things very quickly as well as following instructions without having to be reminded. They were very high of me because of how fast and efficiently I took over new responsibilities. For my current job as a server at Parkside Grill I have been able to practice on my people skills as I am conversing with at least 50 people per night. As I’ve worked there I’ve had many compliments from customers as well as managers and other coworkers on how I am performing.My goals are to find an organization in which I can make an immediate impact in. I strive to be a part of a team and help make that team the most successful it can possibly be. I know that Supply Chain Management is my calling but I haven’t completely narrowed down the industry I want to be in but have a general idea. With my experience in HVAC I feel like I could come right in and be knowledgeable about the business. However Transportation has been of interest to me, at Ferguson I got to gain tons of experience watching and loading the shipments of products and how to deal with situations that go wrong. I believe that my organizational skills could be put to good use in that industry. I’d like to be close to the Philadelphia, DC, Charlotte area but anywhere is acceptable as long as there are promotions available later on to move to a more desirable location. Overall helping a large company become the top player in their industry or continue the innovation and success of another is my ultimate goal.
