Primarily responsible for PTC operations support (Positive Train Control) with BNSF Railway. Provide root cause analysis of penalty breaking events, initialization failures, and en-route failures for PTC enabled locomotives.• Root cause analysis of braking events caused by crew operation, software defects, locomotive defects, signal function, and wayside locomotive communication. • Troubleshoot initialization failures to find the root cause of the problem.• Interpretation of onboard Logs (TMC, Slot 10, 220 Radio), wayside logs, and BOS Logs (Back Office Server).• Investigate wayside issues and its components (IMG, WMS, WIU, and 220 Radio).• Use BMC Remedy ticketing system to report and track defects, and to resolve escalated issues from Tier I.• Create detailed documentation of analysis for field support and other groups for effective problem resolution.• 24/7 on call support for daily PTC operations, service interruptions, and other emergency situations.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Responsible for PTC implementation on federally mandated subdivisions across the BNSF railroad. Also responsible for PTC support on BNSF subdivisions already in revenue service. • Conduct critical asset testing in the field utilizing a Trimble GPS device and Wabtec software designed for interoperable use by Class 1 Railroads.• Use Wabtec simulator to test subdivision databases for errors and troubleshoot for timely problem resolution.• Conduct emergency audits of subdivisions with critical deadlines.• Utilize information from multiple different sources for precision testing and troubleshooting.• Coordinate with back office and field teams to ensure all timelines are met.• Manage different projects at once while staying focused on the end goal.• Implement procedures and safety rules set forth by the FRA at all times.
