As a dedicated firefighter with the City of Delta for the past 19 years, I have had the privilege of serving and protecting our community in times of crisis. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of emergency response protocols, fire suppression techniques, and life-saving procedures. My 8 years sitting on our Locals Executive board gave me experience and knowledge in labour relations in the fire service, while developing strong relationships with members, mangers and politicians.Currently working in the Training Division at the rank of Lieutenant is providing me with an opportunity to share my knowledge with recruit classes and crews by developing and delivering lesson plans and hands on training.I thrive in fast-paced environments that demand adaptability, resilience, and exceptional problem-solving abilities; by leveraging my experience, I have become adept at making critical decisions under pressure, prioritizing tasks effectively, and maintaining a strong focus on safety at all times.My commitment to continuous learning and professional growth has driven me to stay updated with the latest advancements in fire safety technologies and industry best practices. I hold certifications in various areas, including emergency medical response and incident command systems, further enhancing my ability to handle diverse emergency situations.
