I am an aspiring communications professional with three years of experience in creative communications positions. I’ve worked in public relations, freelance writing for a Fortune 500 company, social media marketing and radio broadcasting. And, to bolster my skills, I recently completed a public relations course taught through the University of Colorado Boulder via an online platform.Writing: In the past, as a freelance writer for Abbott, I researched, drafted and edited stories promoting the company’s history and events for an internal audience of thousands of employees and other stakeholders.Marketing: While a student at DePauw University, I worked as a promotional media intern for a visiting authors series where I created and executed multimedia campaigns that increased turnout and boosted awareness of the program.Problem Solving: In a current full-time operations role for a book publishing company, I work in meticulous detail to ensure customer orders are processed correctly, and I develop straightforward ways to communicate solutions to customers and my colleagues about difficult issues that may arise.
