I am currently a junior at Drake University, studying Actuarial Science and Data Analytics. From mytime at Drake I have already gained experience that has launched me into the Actuarial field.Through my academics I have been able to have the opportunity to work at Allianz Life this pastsummer and to the present. I worked on the In-force Reinsurance Management team and I was ableto see how my work in the classroom translated to the insurance industry. I had a great time doinganalysis that was used to make a positive impact on the company.While at Drake I have enjoyed my time in the business fraternity Gamma Iota Sigma. Through thisfraternity I have been able to see more into the insurance industry by looking at different roles andalso growing my own professional skills. I feel as though through my time learning from oldermembers I have learned much more on how to represent myself more professional and I feel asthough this will help me transition into a full-time actuarial career and I hope to pass this down toyounger members before my time at Drake is over.I know my time at Drake will contribute to creating the opportunity to achieve my goals of building adriven long-lasting and successful career in the insurance industry as an Actuary
