As a Project Manager, I am the main point of contact for customers on all assigned projects. My key responsibilities include developing project timelines, assuring adherence to the timelines, and providing customer support throughout the life cycle of a project for all study-related activities within a clinical trial. I work to coordinate cross-functional activities of internal resources to ensure quality and on-time project deliverables are met. I am also responsible for maintaining the proper project documentation and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements for clinical trials. Additionally, I monitor study revenue and update study budgets to fit the scope of the project.

In my role as a Research Assistant at the Kansas Cancer Registry, I was responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of cancer cases reported in the registry. My primary duties included abstracting reportable cancer cases, consolidating records, using logic to fix errors within cases, contacting hospitals and clinics within Kansas to gather pertinent information for cases, and writing/designing the Kansas Cancer Registry quarterly newsletter.

During my internship, I worked to help standardize the practice of rounding across Kaiser Permanente medical centers in the Southern California Region. I worked with various stakeholders to develop training materials for a web-based application called KP Rounding. The application was designed to help Kaiser Permanente leaders perform meaningful rounds with direct reports and patients. I created data visualizations to show present-day rounding statistics across various Southern California medical centers. Throughout the internship, I gained professional experience in project management and technical writing.

I worked as a Research Subject Recruiter in a laboratory for the Department of Rehabilitative Medicine, where I recruited subjects for ankle and knee osteoarthritis studies. This role allowed me to understand how the contracts and consent forms of a research study are designed. I improved in my customer service skills by making several calls each day to potential study candidates. My knowledge of medical terminology and legal aspects of healthcare were a key asset in this role.

I wore many different hats in my role as a supervisor within the City of Lenexa Aquatics Division. I designed and implemented the staff training for CPR, first aid, and lifeguarding skills. Additionally, I supervised the Head Lifeguards to ensure the effective delivery of training protocol. I was responsible for the scheduling of over 50 lifeguards and swim lesson instructors, as well as staff in-services. I coordinated private outdoor swimming lessons for customers of the City of Lenexa. As needed, I performed audits of all four Lenexa aquatics facilities. I gained management experience in my role as the first-ever pool manager the Lenexa Rec Center Pool, established July 2017. Additionally, I completed several improvement projects, such as a Lean Six Sigma-based cleaning of the aquatics storage closet.

I performed patron surveillance for aquatics facilities within Lenexa. Additionally, I completed weekly training to maintain my lifeguard certifications. In conjunction with lifeguarding, I taught swim and dive lessons, both in a group and private setting.
