Originally from Iowa, Carson Simpson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Business with an emphasis in Arts Management from the University of Iowa. During his undergraduate studies, he discovered his passion for arts administration while interning with Mark DeGarmo Dance, gaining valuable experience in nonprofit operations and program management.After graduation, Carson joined Des Moines Performing Arts, where he honed his skills in ticketing and audience engagement. He later became the Franchise Manager for Tippi Toes, overseeing staff coordination and director communication to facilitate accessible dance classes in the greater Iowa City area, ensuring an accessible dance education.Now pursuing his Master of Arts in Arts Administration at Columbia University, Carson is dedicated to blending his organizational expertise, artistic insight, and deep commitment to the performing arts. He is passionate about driving strategic initiatives, fostering community partnerships, and engaging stakeholders to ensure that the arts continue to thrive as a vital and accessible cornerstone of society.
